What's Included in the Dyslexia Screener

If you’ve been wondering why reading feels harder than it should for your child, this free dyslexia screener is a calm, supportive first step — not a diagnosis and not something to fear.

This screener is designed to help us understand what’s really going on beneath the surface so you’re not left guessing or waiting.

What You’ll Get

✔️ A Parent Observation Form

You’ll start by sharing what you are noticing at home — things like letter reversals, guessing, slow reading, frustration, or avoidance. Your observations matter, and they help guide the screening.

✔️ A 1:1 Screening Session for Your Child

After the form is submitted, we’ll schedule a time to meet. During this session, I’ll gently walk your child through specific reading and language tasks designed to highlight patterns related to dyslexia.

✔️ A Clear Parent Conversation Afterward

Once the screener is complete, we’ll talk together. I’ll explain:

  • What I observed

  • What those observations mean

  • Whether dyslexia could be contributing to your child’s reading struggles

  • What next steps may (or may not) be helpful

No jargon. No pressure. Just clarity.

Why This Matters

Many children work incredibly hard just to keep up — and without answers, parents are often told to “wait and see.” This screener helps replace uncertainty with understanding.

It does not label your child.

It does not put them in a box.

It simply helps us determine whether dyslexia could be part of the picture — so you can make informed decisions sooner rather than later.

Who This Is For

✔️ Parents who feel something is “off” but aren’t sure why

✔️ Children struggling with reading, spelling, or fluency

✔️ Families who want clarity before frustration grows

✔️ Homeschool or at-home learners

Start by sharing your observations, then we’ll take the next steps together.

Thanks for submitting! I will get in touch with you in 24 to 48 hours for the next step.
